Hello Scouts and Scout Families,

We're planning our next cleanup session at the El Dorado Fallen Heroes Memorial on Saturday, August 26, starting at 8:00 am.  It's been about 9 months since we cleaned up and planted the last time, so it is definitely in needs of some love.  We need to replant the flowers at the front of the memorial, do a little bit of weeding both in the memorial and in the planters around the memorial area, clean up the planters and place some new bark where necessary, and just do a general cleanup of the area.  Also, I will need a few dedicated scouts who can be responsible for sanding and re-finishing the memorial bench - unfortunately the sun and rain have taken a toll and it's in desperate need of some freshening up.  I'd like to get it done before school starts the following week so that it's looking great for the first day of school.
