2019 Wood Badge - September 6-8 & September 21-23

This is a training for adult leaders currently registered in the Boy Scouts of America. You must have completed the Basic Training courses for your Scouting position and have completed the Outdoor Skills Training. This course covers two weekends -- September 6-8 and September 21-23, 2019.  The cost for this course is $300 (early registration) or $320 if paid after August 6, 2019.

Don't Forget to Make Your Friends of Scouting Donations

We are asking every Family in our Troop to make a donation to Friends of Scouting.  FOS is not a Troop fundraiser, it is your opportunity to support local Scouting and help cover the many unseen costs that it takes to run the Scouting program - things like advancement records, camps, insurance, training, Scout Shops, and Council offices, to name just a few.  It costs Orange County Council approximately $300 annually per Scout to make our program happen.  The Scouting program gives us much to be grateful for, so please consider giving towards this worthy cause.  You can support Friends of Scouting online at http://ocbsa.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=1177035&sup.... Merit Badge Day is only a few days away!  Scouts - If you have not done so, remember to get your blue cards signed this week.  Also check your email for messages from your merit badge counselors.  Parents - you also need to check your email for messages regarding your volunteer shifts.  If you are making a donation, please bring your items to Tuesday's Troop meeting.  If you have any questions, please contact Maria Dolliver at ( meritbadge2018@troop723.us ).  Thank you to everyone for making this event a success - we could not do it without every one of you!

Merit Badge Day Commitment - June 1

Our 5th annual Merit Badge Day is less than five weeks away!  If you haven't signed up to work a shift yet, please do so as soon as possible.  We need volunteers to work as classroom aides so we will have 2-deep leadership in all classes.  It is an easy job, and does not require any experience. All families are required to support this event - if you are unable to work a shift, please contact the Merit Badge Day Coordinator, Maria Dolliver,  ( meritbadge2019@troop723.us ) to get a donation sheet.  There is a $40 buyout option per scout ($60 per family with multiple scouts).  It takes our whole troop to pull this event off, and we thank you for your support!
