Summer Camp Forms and Money - Past Due

Posted on Jun 9 2018 - 9:23pm

Watch for an email regarding summer camp forms and money that are past due.  I will accept PDF's scans of the forms. Please note, I will not be at the Troop meeting Tuesday June 12.  If you have already talked to me personally regarding your forms, then please make every effort to get them to me as discussed.  Summer Camp is less than 4 weeks away, and there are still a lot of outstanding forms.

Spring Court of Honor - Tuesday, May 29

Posted on May 26 2018 - 10:38pm

Our spring Court of Honor is this Tuesday, May 29. Scouts should arrive by 6:30 in full Class A uniform (including Merit Badge sash). The ceremony will begin promptly at 7:00.  All Scouts are expected to attend whether they are receiving an award or not.  This is a family event, so please plan to attend with your Scout (don't forget your parent ribbon!).  Scouts whose last name begins with N-Z should bring a dessert or healthy option to share.  We look forward to celebrating the many accomplishments of our Scouts and Troop.

Don't Forget to Make Your Friends of Scouting Donations

Posted on May 19 2018 - 7:57pm

We are asking every Family in our Troop to make a donation to Friends of Scouting.  FOS is not a Troop fundraiser, it is your opportunity to support local Scouting and help cover the many unseen costs that it takes to run the Scouting program - things like advancement records, camps, insurance, training, Scout Shops, and Council offices, to name just a few.  It costs Orange County Council approximately $300 annually per Scout to make our program happen.  The Scouting program gives us much to be grateful for, so please consider giving towards this worthy cause.  You can support Friends of Scouting online at http://ocbsa.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=1177035&supid=442782138 or during our Court of Honor on Tuesday, May 29.  As an added bonus, every patrol that has 100% participating by June 5 will receive a pizza party at the June 12 Troop Meeting. Thank you for supporting your son, our unit, and the Scouting program!

Thank you!

Posted on May 5 2018 - 11:41pm

Thank you to everyone who helped to make this year's Merit Badge Day our most successful day ever.  We earned over $7000, had everything run smoothly,  and managed to  be cleaned up and off campus in record time so the church could host the funeral! We could not have done all this without each and every one of you. This is what makes our troop the model for the district!  A special thank you to Maria Dolliver for all your hard work coordinating this year's event.
